Living in Hawkes Bay
Hawke’s Bay is located on the east coast of New Zealand on the North Island. Known for its excellent climate and award winning wines, Hawke’s Bay offers a relaxed lifestyle in either Napier, Havelock North or Hastings.
Hawkes Bay is also known for the wide variety of fresh produce available with farmers markets open in the weekend. Where to Live?
You have three locations to choose from in Hawke’s Bay, Napier, Havelock North and Hastings.
Napier
Napier is a seaside town located on a shingle coastline, with access to sandy beaches from either direction about 20mins drive away. Napier Hill offers beautiful sea views over the bay and the Port is also based in Napier.
Napier offers an eclectic choice of restaurants, shops and cafes.
Hastings
Hastings is known as the ‘fruit bowl’ of New Zealand and is home to a multitude of orchards, wineries and beautifully landscaped parks and gardens. The hospital is located in Hastings, as are both of the Totara Health clinics.
Havelock North
Havelock North village sits at the base of Te Mata Peak, a steep landscape popular with mountain bikers, walkers and tourists who enjoy the expansive views from the top. The Village offers boutique shops and cafes and is close to many of Hawke’s Bay’s wineries.
